January 1 2022 my husband found me unresponsive and talking gibberish. He called 911 and I was taken to Ascension Ozaukee St Mary’s. I was being attacked by several different problems, I was in Afib, I had a raging UTI, I was in Heart failure and I had severe Cellulitis in my right leg. To keep his blood therapeutic, my partner must be tested almost weekly for his blood clotting factor to verify if he’s at danger for lethal pulmonary embolisms or if on the other side of the scale, extreme anemia causing bruising and quick bleed outs from small things like a scratch or a mosquito bite. Without the help of our local hospitals, my partner might have succumbed to his genetic defect ailment years ago.

I can always say I have had such wonderful experiences with the Nurses and Doctors at all of the hospitals I have been at. I am 76 yr’s old at this point and not in the best of health so I need to know I can count on Medicare and a son on Medicare at this time. I need to know that all of this is there for us. Please do not let there be any cuts to either of these programs.
