Claire Panke is a neonatal nurse at Lenox Hill Hospital, part of North Shore-LIJ Health System. Watch how Claire and her colleagues care for some of the hospital’s most vulnerable patients, from birth to discharge.

More than 3.7 million babies are delivered in America’s hospitals every year.* A small percentage of these babies are born premature or with an illness requiring specialized care.

Neonatal Intensive Care Units in hospitals all over America help these babies, and their families, in their moment of need. But cuts to hospital funding in Washington—$122 billion since 2010—are making it harder for NICU workers to do their vital jobs.

Share our message on the importance of America’s NICUs. Help us keep hospitals strong, so the most vulnerable among us will always receive the care they need.
