The Coalition to Strengthen America’s Healthcare today launched its latest national television advertisement, On Hold, highlighting how delays and denials by some large health insurers can drive up costs and prevent Americans from accessing the care they need.
As healthcare affordability remains a top economic concern, On Hold underscores how long wait times, coverage delays, and claim denials can leave patients in limbo while premium costs continue to rise. The ad raises concerns that some big insurer practices prioritize profits over timely access to care and calls on policymakers to hold corporate insurers accountable.
The launch comes amid growing concern in Washington and across the country about healthcare affordability and the role corporate insurer practices play in driving up costs and delaying care. From excessive prior authorization requirements and administrative red tape to rising premiums, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket costs, many Americans face increasing barriers that put needed care out of reach.
On Hold is the latest installment in the Coalition’s national campaign on harmful corporate insurer practices and follows the launch of Nightly News and Harmful Practices. Together, these efforts highlight how corporate insurer practices can delay care, increase costs, and create unnecessary obstacles for patients.
The ad will run across national TV and digital platforms as part of the Coalition’s broader seven-figure campaign launched earlier this year.
