WASHINGTON — The Coalition to Strengthen America’s Healthcare today launched its latest national television advertisement, Nightly News, a spot highlighting harmful practices by large, corporate health insurers that drive up healthcare costs and create barriers to care for patients across the country.

As healthcare affordability remains top of mind for Americans, Nightly News highlights how coverage delays, denials, rising premiums, and administrative hurdles imposed by some corporate insurers can stand in the way of timely care. The ad concludes by urging Congress to hold big corporate insurers accountable.

The launch comes amid growing concern in Washington and across the country about healthcare affordability and the role some corporate insurer practices play in driving up costs and making care more difficult to access. From excessive administrative red tape to rising premiums, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket costs, as well as narrow networks and vertical integration, many Americans are increasingly questioning practices that add strain to the healthcare system.

Nightly News is the latest installment in an ongoing national Coalition campaign and follows the launch of the Harmful Practices ad last month. Together, the ads spotlight how corporate insurer practices shift costs to patients and make it harder for them to access the care they need.

The ad will run across national connected TV and digital platforms as part of the Coalition’s broader seven-figure campaign, launched earlier this year, highlighting harmful corporate insurer practices that put patients last.
