Stories from the State

Advocates from across the country submit their patient stories about 24/7 care, large corporate insurers, and rural healthcare access in order to highlight the importance of access to care.
I get a monthly shot to help improve my asthma and breathing. I would not be able to get the shot if I didn’t have Medicare. This would limit treatment to those on Medicare, making them unable to get treatment needed.

I have a daughter who is the single mother of an 8 year old. She has health issues which keeps her from holding a job. Without Medicaid I don’t know what she will do for health care for herself and her child. I’m 87, live in a different state and am living on Social Security and a small annuity/pension. I can’t support them but try to help when when I can.
