Stories from the State

Advocates from across the country submit their patient stories about 24/7 care, large corporate insurers, and rural healthcare access in order to highlight the importance of access to care.
My husband had a bowel blockage, which was really bad for his stomach, which was so swollen. Had to have emergency surgery. When the Dr. and team had done the surgery, they found out he had cancer. It was stage 2 gave him 44 months to live. If he hadn’t had a hospital to go to, he would have died. Hospitals are very important!

I had major surgery years ago. The physicians and staff were very compassionate, qualified and caring. It is critical that all healthcare providers are honored, treated with respect and compensated for their services. Thank you all.
