Stories from the State

Advocates from across the country submit their patient stories about 24/7 care, large corporate insurers, and rural healthcare access in order to highlight the importance of access to care.
My wife was in hospital last year for 6 months. She spent most of that time in the ICU/CCU. The staff and medical team were excellent. I was kept up on her status regularly and provided with the information I needed to make crucial decisions about her care in a manner that respected my education and experience.

I am 72 years old and I have been in the hospital multiple times. In the emergency room, ICU, CCU and infectious disease floor. I don’t know what I would have done if I had not had any help. Thank you very much.
